Advocacy
At Kaizen Safeguarding, our advocacy work is about driving positive, lasting change in safeguarding systems—both at grassroots governance and legislative decision-making levels. Through targeted public policy engagement, we engage with faith, charity and education leaders in Westminster, Holyrood and Stormont to shape legislation and practice that strengthen protections, encourage brave disclosures, and embed the survivor voice at every level. Our survivor advocacy ensures individuals have access to trauma-informed support and genuine opportunities to influence decisions that affect their lives, rather than being spoken for. By championing the voice of children and young people—grounded in the principles of the UNCRC—we work to see their perspectives meaningfully heard across all four UK nations, so that policies and practice reflect their right to safety and well-being by creating frameworks that enable safe, brave spaces for all.
Together, these three pillars of our advocacy help evolve safeguarding frameworks, honour lived experience, and build safer, braver communities.
