Terms and Conditions
Kaizen Safeguarding training Terms and Conditions:
- I am responsible for my behaviour throughout the course. I understand that offensive behaviour and/or rude language will result in me being removed from the course (Refunds are not available to any person removed from the course for this reason)
- I understand that this course deals with sensitive subject matter, if I am impacted by the course content, I will reach out for pastoral support. I can do this by speaking with a trusted person, e.g. pastor, minister, headteacher, counsellor, HR personnel, line manager, or I can contact Kaizen Safeguarding.
- I understand that "what is said in the course, stays in the course", i.e. I will respect other delegates who may choose to share from their lived experience and not repeat their story to others.
- The course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, with the link for joining the meeting sent to you the day before the course. It is the responsibility of training delegates to ensure that the device they are using to access the course is able to run Microsoft Teams (i.e. uses Microsoft 10 or 11). You do not need to have a Teams account to access the training.
- I am responsible for ensuring that my technology is compatible with Microsoft Teams. Teams requirements can be found at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/hardware-requirements-for-the-teams-app
-in the unlikely event the course is unable to run because of exceptional circumstances at Kaizen Safeguarding, we will offer full refunds or movement to another date to all delegates.
- For online courses, I will ensure that there is nothing inappropriate or offensive in the background of my video call.
- I understand that my right to privacy is important and that I can use the blur function within background settings for this purpose. It is preferable that the trainer can see my face on screen, but there may be occasions when this is not suitable for me. If this is the case I will private message the trainer to say that I am on the call without video.
- This course is not suitable for under 18's due to the subject matter that is being discussed, therefore I will ensure I am in an environment where under 18's are not present. If I am at home and there are under 18's nearby, I will use headphones so they don't hear the course. If the trainer becomes aware that there are children who can hear/see the course (online or in person), they reserve the right to pause the course until the children have been relocated to a more appropriate environment.
- If I have accessibility requirements, I will ensure I have communicated these to Kaizen Safeguarding no later than 2 business days before the course. If I require support in the form of an additional person, e.g. BSL interpreter, language translator, Kaizen Safeguarding will provide one free place for the support person, but it is my responsibility to source the support person and ensure they are aware of the time, date and location of the course. (please see FAQ's on website for more details)
- I will be given digital copies of the training materials for the course. The copyright of these materials belongs to Kaizen Safeguarding, I will not reproduce without permission from Kaizen Safeguarding.
Cancellations and no-shows:
- Kaizen Safeguarding offer a 7-day cooling off window if you change your mind about the course. After that, we will give a 50% refund for cancellation until 5 working days before the course. Within 5 working days we will give a 30% refund. If you are unable to attend the course on the date you booked and would still like to attend the training, we will move you to another date (that works for you) for free.
- If I am unable to attend, my organisation can send another person in my place. The organisation must advise Kaizen Safeguarding no later than the day before the training of the name change and an email address so the link to the training can be sent directly to them.
- For online courses, we will keep the admissions open from 15 minutes after the start time. After this we will lock out admissions and consider those who have not attended as no shows. This is to ensure that disruption to other delegates is minimised and that delegates experience the full course.
