Advice clinics

Safeguarding decisions carry responsibility. Access to experienced, independent advice provides space to discuss concerns, reflect on practice and identify clear, appropriate next steps.

Kaizen Safeguarding’s advice clinics offer focused, one-to-one, 30-minute consultations, tailored to your organisation’s needs. Each session is followed by a written summary of the advice and recommendations, sent securely after your call.

Whether you are working through a current concern, clarifying responsibilities or strengthening your safeguarding arrangements, we provide practical guidance grounded in professional experience, relevant legislation and recognised best practice.

Advice that understands your context

We take account of your organisation’s work, the people you support, your role and the jurisdiction in which you operate. Our advice is survivor-centred and trauma-informed, with a clear focus on safety, proportionate action and accountability.

Clinics support designated safeguarding leads, trustees, managers, staff and others with safeguarding responsibilities. They provide a confidential professional space to ask questions, explore options and consider the implications of a decision. Information is handled in accordance with our safeguarding and data protection responsibilities.

What can you bring to an advice clinic?

Sessions can focus on:

·        A safeguarding concern and the appropriate next steps.

·        Questions about reporting, referrals or escalation.

·        Roles, responsibilities and professional boundaries.

·        Applying your safeguarding policy to a particular situation.

·        Confidentiality, recording and information sharing.

·        Reflection on a previous response and opportunities to strengthen practice.

You do not need to have all the answers before speaking with us. We help you clarify the issue, consider the information available and identify what needs attention.

Clear advice, followed up in writing

After your consultation, we prepare a written summary setting out the key matters discussed, the advice provided and recommended actions. This is sent to you securely, giving you a clear record to refer to as you take the work forward.

Where an issue requires further assessment, a detailed document review or ongoing support, we explain what is needed and discuss the appropriate service with you.

Arrange an advice clinic: complete the form below with a brief outline of the support you need, and we’ll be in touch to arrange your session. Please keep your initial enquiry free from identifying or sensitive case details; we will explain how to share relevant information securely.
